Singapur 
Singapore places between Malaysia, on which it borders in the northern part, and Indonesia in the southern part. It is formed by 64 islands including the principal island known as the island of Singapore or Pulau Ujong.? This island is joined to the Malay peninsula by two bridges. The first one leads to Johor Bahru's frontier city in Malaysia.
The official languages of Singapore are the Englishman, Malay, mandarin and Tamil. The national language is the Malay, and the national anthem, "Majula Singapura", is sung in this language. Do nevertheless, almost all the inhabitants of Singapore speak more than one language and Some persons speak three or four languages.

New Chinese year:
This one is the festivity that is celebrated in the beginning of the first lunar month (between January 21 and February 21) and is the most important for the inhabitants of Singapore of Chinese origin, who are the majority. Most of the celebrations develops in Chinatown.
 Lao-Tse's anniversary:
In this festivity there is remembered, every March and for one week, the birth of Lao-Tse, founder of the Taoist religion.
 All Souls' Day (Qingmingjie):
 In this festivity, the Chinese population of the city of Singapore visits the tomb of his ancestors to remember them, doing also floral offerings and diverse rituals. The date of this celebration ranges between 4 and on April 6.
Festival of the Boats of the Dragoon:
In this festival the Chinese people remembers the poet Qu Yuan, who died drowned, and in his honor there are organized careers of boats that recreate the aspect of a dragoon
 Gastronomic Festival of Singapore:
The festival is carried out for ten days in the second half of July. It consists of a series of samples and degustations of the local kitchen (satay, piquant crab, cake of carrot, ect.), though also it includes fashionable parades and musical spectacles.
Local dishes of Singapore
Singapore has a varied gastronomy, due to the multicultarismo that exists about his history. His kitchen has a variety of Indian, Chinese and Malay flavors
Rice with chicken Hainanese: Also so called Chicken Wenchang. It is the national plate of Singapore. It contains piquant sauce of red chili and meat of tender chicken to the steam.
 Crab: It is the local dish of Singapore. One adds the pepper or chili.
 Laksa: It is a soup of noodles with spices and milk of coconut.

 Satay: They are skewers marinaded of chicken or pork.
Typical sweets of Singapore
Roti Booms: Prepared with lard and sugar. They are round and sweet.
 Sandwich of ice cream: Prepared with bread of mass with milk, landfill with ice cream.
 Tofu fa: Also known like tau huey or tofu pudding. It is very soft mixed with syrup.

 Bubur Servants: Prepared with water of coconut, sugar of palm and syrup of pandan.
